Visual Artist, Painter, Mixed Media Shadow Boxes

I have been working as a visual artist in one way or another throughout my  life; beginning as a painter, a graphic designer, art director and illustrator in New York City. Later I created Art Studio Now; an art enrichment business teaching art to children through adults. In 2020 we relocated to the Jersey Shore.

 

I paint in oil, acrylic, and gouache as well as using found and collected objects in wooden boxes. My art is conceived as a personal visual narrative with experiential ideas playfully expressed. It is representational in both style and imagery. Recent work consists of large acrylic paintings inspired by aspects of the natural, architectural and physical environment. The ocean, Mysticism, religion and freedom inform my larger scale work.

 

I’ve exhibited at West Orange Arts Council, Arts Unbound, 1978 Gallery, The Framing Mill, Gas Gallery and annually at the South Orange/Maplewood Artist Studio Tour. My work is held in many private collections. BFA: KCAI, Continuing Ed: Parsons, Pratt, SVA​
