SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

We’re thrilled to share that Ocean Grove’s beloved grassroots community event, “Art
on the Porch,” will be teaming up with the Jersey Shore Arts Center for 2025!

Originally launched in 2023 by dedicated residents Betsy Kaplin, Katy Roessle, Doug
Donaldson, and Bob Ellis, Art on the Porch has transformed Ocean Grove into a vibrant,
walkable gallery featuring local artists showcasing their work on the charming front
porches of the community. With hundreds of visitors exploring the neighborhoods in its
first two years, the event has seen remarkable growth—from 60 artists in 2023 to 80
artists across 75 porches in 2024, along with a waiting list of eager participants!

Recognizing this momentum, the founders sought a partnership with a larger
organization, and the Jersey Shore Arts Center was the perfect fit. Following a
productive meeting with JSAC Director Jeanne Power-Galli after the successful June
11, 2024 event, it was clear that this collaboration was meant to be. JSAC has been
looking for ways to spotlight their organization and transition their Annual 5K Walk/Run
into a more art-centric event, making this partnership a seamless match.

Mark your calendars for June 14, 2025! This exciting collaboration will bring together
the grassroots spirit of Art on the Porch with the resources and support of the Jersey
Shore Arts Center. The JSAC will provide a central starting point for the event, offering
parking, restrooms, and maps for our out-of-town visitors, while still preserving the
homey feel that makes this event so special.
