Since 1997 the Ocean Grove Historic Preservation Society has worked diligently to restore this Historic building. For years the building stood empty and received little or no attention in a closed abandoned situation. Restoring the building has been a real challenge. The work has been scheduled and accomplished as funds permit. The Center needs continued financial support to complete the project.

Supporting the Arts is a definite responsibility and a rewarding experience. The Arts tell us about the past, enlighten us of the present and explore the future while entertaining. The Jersey Shore Arts Center is dedicated to that concept and suggest three ways you can support the Arts:

Attend the performances at the Center. The JSAC is committed to providing the opportunity and facilities for various theater groups. Your attendance and support is their encouragement to continue their profession. Become registered on the Art Center's mailing list.

Become involved as a volunteer. If you can provide the time, a skill or a service....do it and realize the rewards of giving assistance to a worthy cause. You may have contacts or a special skill to help. Your participation will be readily accepted and appreciated.

Make a tax-deductible contribution. Large or small donations will be appreciated and they will help the Center. If able make a special financial gift......large or small it will be recognized. SPECIAL PROJECT

The next major project at the Center is to restore the third floor and create a Culinary Institute for the blind and special needs students. The facilities will consist of a kitchen, preparation room, classrooms, restrooms and a restaurant with a seating capacity of sixty. The mission is to provide the facilities and a positive educational program addressing the living needs for the handicapped. The program will train and develop student skills while promoting a business to generate revenue to provide and maintain this special activity. To restore the third floor will require considerable financial support. The Society has established a special fund-raising program. A beautiful Gift Board will be located in the Lobby and individual plaques will recognize gift donations. We urge the public, businesses and foundations to lend their support to this meaningful project. For information call 732-502-0050. Your donation can be by pledge with installment payments. The Society will coordinate with each contributor. We are prepared to accept all major credit cards, personal checks, and U.S. money orders. The Ocean Grove Historic Preservation Society, Inc. is very grateful it has been able to save and restore this Historic site and create the Jersey Shore Arts Center. The dedication of volunteers and the financial support from the public, businesses, corporations, foundation grants, local and state government all have helped in accomplishing our goal.
